Original series of high-level studies devoted to particular difficulties

The aim of this book is to present new technical exercises in relation to the requirements of modern works, from Satie to the present day, and we will leave aside the characteristic features of avant-garde music. Let's go to the source of the great and abundant classical literature, and we will find treasures of ingenuity in the use of the human hand, for this so precious and so particular tool that is the piano keyboard.
The innovations of modern authors show us that nothing is finished as far as music is concerned. The new modes used by the moderns, and in particular by French masters such as Debussy and Ravel, the so free and so original features of their art oblige us to reconsider our knowledge as pianists. One cannot remain insensitive to such musical revolutions, for the same people who contributed to the birth of the 20th century were influenced by the great jazz movement, serialism, electronics with the ondes Martenot and synthesizers, and the computer.

The aim of this book is therefore to propose an original series of studies of high-level technique, and yet at first enjoyable because they are in fact "miniatures", each devoted to a particular difficulty. It is by definition impossible to cover everything in one book, so I have taken care to address in this collection the points of difficulty that I found most important. I have also taken care to note all the fingerings useful for the good execution of the pieces, while letting the talent of each one express itself on the keyboard, as well as some explanatory notes to allow the student and the teacher to analyze these exercises well.
