Composer, organist and teacher, Jean Aubain, born in Bordeaux in 1928, is a student of Roger-Ducasse and Olivier Messiaen. In 1956 he was awarded the Grand Prix de Rome.
As a teacher, he never stopped composing. For 33 years (1963 - 1996) he was director of the Conservatoire National de Versailles.
