Kathryn Potter " The secrets of Ravens " 7 duets for oboe 19 p

Flying with ravens, Into the night, I lost a feather or three, but found the moon, and voices of kin, a mirrored key, to keep for thee. ...........................................................

Born in 1965 in New York State, Kathryn Potter developed a passion for the oboe at an early age.
Her excellent results in the annual evaluations of the New York State Association of Schools of Music led to scholarships with such renowned teachers as Lois Wann in New York, Michael Winfield in London, and Marc Liefschy in San Francisco. These diverse teachings have allowed Kathryn to acquire a rare combination of American and European culture.
Kathryn was attracted to music composition from an early age and studied with Karel Husa at Ithaca College and with Eleanore Armer at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, from which she graduated. After 18 years of teaching (oboe, flute, piano, and composition) to students of all ages, in 2010 she created the company "Oboe Brilliance inc" (the brilliance of the Oboe) intended to develop the joy of life in three joint areas:
¨ Accompanying and guiding oboists
¨ Composing new pieces for oboe
¨ To offer new possibilities of expression to the oboe enthusiasts of today and tomorrow
